\n\nJob Description\n

3 West is a 42-bed Medicine Acute Care unit dedicated to caring for patients with conditions such as End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), autoimmune and connective tissue disorders, pneumonia, chest pain, congestive heart failure (CHF), gastrointestinal bleeds, and diabetes. The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in facilitating admission, treatment, and transfer of patients. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, the RN will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Provide quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs.
\n
• Administer medications, including IV therapy, blood products, and manage dysrhythmias.
\n
• Perform assessments, charting via EPIC, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
\n
• Carry out specialized procedures such as catheterization patient care, peritoneal dialysis management, and wound care.
\n
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatments.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS/Tele nursing.
\n
• Current BLS and NIH Stroke Certification required; ACLS and CPI preferred.
\n
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and remote telemetry monitoring.
\n
