Construction Safety Manager
Location: Marshall, MI
Duration: 4+ Months (Starts 11/7)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Position Details
  • Hourly Rate: $59.50/HR (local) $52.50/HR ( non-local)

  • Per Diem: $125/Day on seven days

  • Completion Bonus: $150/month

  • Pay Frequency: Weekly

  • Schedule: Monday - Sat 60 Hours 6-10s

Project Scope

The construction safety manager will oversee safety for a contractor doing Steel Reinforcement (Rebar) Work: cutting, bending, and tying steel bars per design drawings, and placing rebar in formwork for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, or walls. Spacing and alignment are checked to meet structural and code requirements. Inspections are done before concrete pouring to ensure correct placement.

Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 or higher

  • Concrete Experience
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments

  • Support incident investigations, report findings, and implement corrective actions

  • Deliver safety training and orientation for employees, subcontractors, and new hires

  • Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify safety risks and mitigate hazards

  • Maintain safety performance, incident, and compliance documentation and reports

  • Promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization

Skills & Knowledge

Skills:

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive information

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction

  • Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
