Overview: The Triad Hospitalist (full time, part time, and/or relief) is accountable for providing exceptional care to Cone Health patients and completing all clinical responsibilities.
Responsibilities: Provides multidisciplinary team coordination services to assigned areas. Offers mentoring to Cone Health residents and students as needed. Exercises independent judgment in diagnosing and treating patients, developing treatment plans, and directing the interdisciplinary team (including advanced practice providers) to achieve patient care goals. Upholds professional standards of MCHS, including the Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, physician expectations, and professional image standards. Participates in medical audits, quality improvement programs, investigations, peer reviews, and other inquiries related to professional care standards. Engages in continuous improvement and evidence-based practices to enhance healthcare quality and service, aiming for outcomes in the 90th percentile or above. Maintains records according to MCHS policies, laws, and regulations. Contributes to the development of clinical guidelines, procedures, and programs, and recommends improvements for quality and efficiency. Shares designated on-call responsibilities with other physicians in the assigned areas as needed.
Qualifications: Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
