About the Role:

The Part Time Spanish Teacher for High School will play a pivotal role in fostering students' proficiency and appreciation of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures. This position is designed to deliver engaging, comprehensive language instruction that aligns with the school's curriculum standards and promotes communicative competence. The teacher will create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and cultural awareness. By assessing student progress regularly, the teacher will tailor instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and help students achieve academic success. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or licensure for secondary education in Spanish.
  • Proficiency in Spanish language, both written and spoken.
  • Experience teaching Spanish at the high school level or equivalent.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with blended or remote learning instructional methods.
  • Familiarity with language learning technologies and digital teaching tools.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities beyond Spanish and English.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to varying student proficiency levels.
  • Deliver engaging Spanish language instruction focusing on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes, tests, oral presentations, and assignments.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their language abilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages cultural understanding and respect.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members and participate in school meetings and professional development activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
