NP/PA Nocturnist Hospitalist Opportunity in Roanoke Rapids, NC - New

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health North Hospital, located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with their Hospitalist program. A minimum of one year of in-patient experience as a provider is required.

Roanoke Rapids offers an excellent work-life balance with the ability to live on Lake Gaston, a 20,000-acre lake perfect for fishing and boating.

Job Highlights include:

• Employment by ECU Health Physicians
• Hospital privileges at ECU Health North Hospital, a 204-bed community hospital
• Schedule: 7 on/7 off, Tuesday Monday from 7p 7am
• No Call
• Established hospitalist program inclusive of 11 Physicians & 1 Advanced Practice Provider
• Care to patients in an 8-bed open ICU with support from a pulmonary critical care physician and tele-intensivist service
• Clinical responsibilities include admissions, consults from ED, rounding, discharges, and family care coordination
• Advanced practice providers work independently with limited supervision
• Specialty support includes Interventional and General Cardiology, General Surgery, Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonary Critical Care, Nephrology, Radiology, Infectious Disease, Psychiatry, and Neurology (many via telemedicine)
• No procedures required
• Average inpatient admissions: 5-10 patients per night

Opportunity to live on Lake Gaston and easy commute from Knightdale, Raleigh, Wilson, Rocky Mount, and Southern Virginia.

ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association are required.

Compensation includes: Annual Administrative Stipend, Relocation assistance, PTO, Malpractice (with tail), 401k matching/457b, Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance.
