Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle various types of freight, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers.

Duties

• Operate tractor-trailer units over long distances, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload freight efficiently, utilizing forklifts when necessary.
• Manage delivery schedules and routes effectively to meet customer expectations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transport.
• Handle various types of freight, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, dump truck materials, and roll-off truck operations as required.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, or dry vans.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading freight safely.
• Strong route driving skills with an understanding of logistics and navigation systems.
