Overview JOB DESCRIPTION : Looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Underwriter to join our underwriting team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to develop their underwriting skills while supporting the team in evaluating risks and assisting with the underwriting process. Responsibilities Assist underwriters in assessing and evaluating insurance applications and risks. Review and analyze policy applications, client data, and claims histories. Communicate with brokers, agents, and clients to gather additional information or clarify details. Ensure timely processing of applications, reinstatements and additions. Support in maintaining accurate records and documentation for underwriting files. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of underwriting decisions and findings. Stay updated with regulations, and underwriting guidelines to ensure compliance Assist with identifying and addressing potential risks and recommending adjustments to policy terms. Qualifications Strong attention to detail and analytical skills At least 2+ years in the insurance industry or medical field Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Bilingual : Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with team members and clients.
