FINANCIAL ANALYST I PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST I: - Assists in reviewing routine forecasts in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas as instructed.
- Under direct supervision, responsible for conducting or assisting in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analysis projects.
- Reviews, for accuracy, routine financial and business-related reports/analyses in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments.
- Utilizing PC and/or mainframe-based systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.
- May assist in the month end closing process.
- Analyze, reconcile, report, and prepare journal entries.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST I: - Four-year college degree in accounting, finance required.
- Entry level position 0-1 years of experience.
PREFERRED FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST I: - Basic knowledge of accounting and financial theory.
- Basic knowledge of financial analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of Carpenter's accounting systems a plus
- Ability to operate a computer workstation.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to work under frequently changing priorities.
- Ability to work under frequently changing priorities.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
