Construction Accountant The Construction Cost Accountant will support the Construction Department, reviewing all construction draws, preparing financial reporting including bank reconciliations for third‑party clients, and preparing department reporting required by corporate. Responsibilities Review, audit, and approve all construction draws. Assist Construction Cost Analysts with research and issue resolution. Prepare construction department reporting required by corporate. Perform cash management functions, post journal entries, and research issues. Review accounts payable activity and prepare accruals. Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations in accordance with client deadlines and requirements while maintaining internal controls. Analyze rehab project financial data to ensure compliance with internal and external audits; maintain audit and tax records. Prepare audit and client‑related requests and perform additional duties as received. Participate in special projects as they arise. Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel; basic knowledge of Word and Adobe. Deep understanding of financial concepts. Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills. Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy; highly organized, able to multi‑task, and self‑motivated. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. Travel Requirement This position may entail travel, estimated at 5% of work time annually for internal meetings.
