Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Architect (licensed) or Architectural Staff (unlicensed) with over 5 years of experience and proficiency in Revit. The successful candidate will carry out complex assignments that require the development and implementation of new or improved techniques and procedures. You will participate in the iterative design process, prepare design alternatives, and ensure coordination between aesthetics and technical performance.
Responsibilities
Coordinate, distribute, and review work and information of consultants, engineers, and internal staff to ensure design alignment and project timeliness.
Perform elementary design computations and prepare architectural drawings and technical details with increasing independence.
Produce and refine project documentation, including schematic designs, design development drawings, and construction documents under the supervision of licensed architects.
Assist in field surveys and site observations, documenting architectural features and translating field conditions into accurate virtual models.
Utilize Revit and other rendering tools to create compelling visualizations and presentation graphics.
Manage the BIM model in REVIT and BIM 360, ensuring model quality for assigned projects.
Provide technical support for BIM-enabled workflows and coordinate with internal project teams.
Ensure compliance with local building codes, zoning requirements, and industry standards.
Work with clients to design or renovate spaces to meet their construction, finish, and FF&E standards.
Enhance the function, safety, and aesthetics of a project, and generate design concepts for color palettes and materials.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
5+ years of experience working at a firm.
Proficiency in Revit.
Licensure in progress in the state of Illinois.
Strong understanding of construction documents and architectural design.
Proficient in FF&E selection and documentation, including creating cut sheets, schedules, CSI specifications, and budget management.
Experience in sectors like education, commercial, mixed-use, historic preservation, and multi-family residential, preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $71000.00 - $91000.00/hr.
